Can’t test alternator output without the engine running but once she gets it running it’s a good idea to check that.

Do you have a manual transmission?

Can you post a picture of the battery and terminals in the truck?

Lights and stuff come on when you turn the ignition on? Put a multimeter or test light on the starter and have someone crank it.

The post I linked in Post 11 has all the nessesary info on testing the starting system, grab a test light and see what your missing. It's easy to test, no need for everyone to keep throwing guesses at it.

Do you have an alarm? You may have triggered the immolizer.

An immolizer? That's one hell of an alarm!
    upload_2025-3-12_5-24-17.png
My alarm just goes off and makes a siren sound, but I gotta get an immolizer installed now. That will REALLY cut back the crime in the neighborhood.
Put that sticker in the lower corner of the drivers and passenger window. ":bananadead:This Truck Protected by the Immolizer 6000!:bananadead:"

Just kidding - I know you meant immobilizer. Too good to pass up.

Engine immobilizers are standard on quality alarms. If someone trips the alarm it won't start. Dealer installed alarms normally have this feature. It blocked me from starting once and I had to get the alarm book out to remind me how to reset it before it started. Leave the window down, activate the alarm, open the door by reaching through the window and if it won't start it has one. You can stop the alarm sound but must do the proper reset to be able to re-start.

I don’t want an immobilizer, I want a immolizer. Great theft deterrent. No more thief, no more problem. Just shop vacuum the ashes and you are good to go. I’m searching Amazon now for a deal.:bananadead:

Tap your starter with a hammer ,and then try to start it.
Or you left a wire off the battery somehow.
