Hey fellows, my tacoma's flywheel is visible is the supposed to be a cover or somthing for it? Also I just completed a 1000 mile road trip and my dipstick doesn't reach the oil, the valve cover doesn't not appear to be leaking what might be the cause?20250313_103618.jpg 20250313_103541.jpg

There is supposed to be a cover. Oil looks like it is going higher up on that last picture. Where is the highest point you start to see oil?

A little above the oil pan, but it's definitely from the back half, do you know where i can find a cover?

Your local dealer should be able to get you a plate cover. Just above the oil pan on the back half could be the oil pan leaking or your rear main seal. One is far easier to fix than the other. Both generally leak slowly and are not immediate concerns. I would clean things off with brake clean, put some dye in and run it for a while then check with a UV light. That or you can run a scope up in front of the flex plate to view the rear main.

Half moons back there and valve covers are also notorious for leaking

First I would add a couple of quarts to your oil to bring the level up to where you can see it on your dipstick. Then I would compare the length of your oil dipstick with that of another. If yours is short, get a new one and then recheck the oil level. After that, I would continue looking for the leak.

Change your oil. Add the amount specified for your engine. Wait a few minutes and check dipstick. If it's at or close to the mark then the dipstick is correct and you are leaking oil badly or burning it, if it isn't get the right one.

    Clock Volt meter/LSPV Delete/Hyundai 16’s/FP gauge/after 9months of wrenching ZERO oil leaks
    forget about the missing cover

appears that after the 1k rd trip you burnt most of your oil

    get oil change ASAP

as far as that seepage leak
brake clean and pwr wash from top and bottom
monitor for fresh seepage drops forming
    typically from that area is
    -valve cover gasket
    -rear main seal
    (as both mentioned)
