2008 TRD Tacoma switch turns on ABS OFF light on dash?

I have what looks like an aftermarket switch on the left side by the 400W / 100W button that when I toggle the switch an ABS light and 4X4 light comes on in my dash. This truck is new to us and I have no idea why/what this function is intended to do, so I'm leaving the switch off for now. I did some searching and it sounds like its for winter driving to turn off all the control stuff? Was hoping to get a more concise explanation from someone. Appreciate it!

There is no factory ABS off switch although the ABS will turn off in 4L with the rear diff locked.

 

Sorry I was wrong, it actually just lights up an ABS light, not an ABS OFF light. Also theres what looks like a 4X4 light that also turns on when I toggle this switch.

 

So likely it's some kind of ABS disable mod, I would have to know what wires they tapped into to tell you how they accomplished it.

 

That red icon is the locker indicator, not 4WD. My guess is the previous owner did the "Locker Anytime" mod so you can activate the rear diff lock even when in 2WD.

Ah I missed that, still need to know where the wires go to know for sure what they did.
