probably the same chinese manufacturer as the rest of them; looks identical to mine anyway. i would take a swing at this one if i didn't already have one, especially because of the ability to return it easily since it is Amazon.

just under $100. I bit the bullet and got one. I am sure the price will go down, bet to around $85.

That seems a much fairer price than $450 or whatever list is for the OEM one. Jeeze!

I ended up buying one from Amazon for about $100. There are lots out there now in that range. The install was easy and I'm happy with it.

I have never seen the OEM in person so I can't say how the quality compares. For the use I will get from it, there is no way I would pay the dealer price for this.

I believe Sxth Element is working on adapter to allow the step and recovery hook.

You're right they are, and it should be available really soon. They also make rescue points at a really reasonable price and the bracket works with their attachments. Win!

Looks nice, but not what I need since I already have the rescue points that came with the TRD Pro which are great. I just need a bedstep that works with a stock Pro.

Just wondering how the knock-offs are holding up? Any quality/functional issues yet?

I only had mine for less than two weeks but I don't see why I will have any issues. It was beefy and used quality hardware as far as I can tell.

it's basically identical to the OEM, and very likely manufactured to the same specifications by the same company IMO. china gonna china.

I'd be happy with a built in corner step. Chevy started it and now Ford has copied them. Where's Toyota's version?

I've had an Amazon knock off on my G3 taco for a year and a half and it's still working great.

OEM step on my broke after 7 years. Fortunately as I was stepping up, not down.

I had ordered and received a knock-off back in Feb. But I've been dealing with some health issues all spring and was unable to install until yesterday. Looks and works fine...tucks up nicely. Looks exactly like OEM. My wife even noticed the tread pattern on the step was an exact match to the bumper.
