Bilstein 6112 gurus I need some advice..I had 6112's installed 4 months ago and recently had additional work done by (Sibi Built- the top taco shop in CA) where they informed me the original shop installed 4runner 6112's Part#47-259768 without my knowledge and claimed it was do to short supply and the shocks are virtually identical...

Original installer has agreed to replace with Tacoma part#47-234413 if I so desire. I am currently running both 47-259768's at the top notch with a 1/2 spacer on the driver's side. My ride is soft on the max setting which a prefer.

I understand 4Runner 6112's are 10% softer and 1/16th of an inch shorter, i'd like to keep them if there is no disadvantage overtime along with no loss of significant ride height. Please let me know your feedback fellas, good or bad... Build details and ride current ride height below.

    2020 Tacoma TRD OR 4x4
    Camburg Uniball UCA's
    Rear Shocks Bilstein 5160's
    3-leaf AAL (NO overload spring)
    285/70/17 Nitto Grapplers

    Ride height-
Front Driver 22 1/2 Hub to Fender Tire to Fender 5 1/2
Front passenger 22 1/2 Hub to Fender Tire to Fender 5 1/2

    Rear height-
    Both sides 23 1/2 Wheel to fender 6 1/2

Hard to say. Could probably sell them for close to what you paid. I would run them as is at stock weight.

An opposite example, I installed my oem 2018 Tacoma OR front colovers on my 2004 GX470. They are slightly too soft, but did give a 1" lift. If you are happy with the ride, I'd bet it's ok.

Appreciate the reply, the installer advised they would replace for free so no need to sell if I wanted to switch. I am pleased with my ride quality so will most likely stick with these. I’ve been told Tacoma shocks run a bit stiff compared to 4Runner but have tested myself

Hey, I know it's an old post but have a question as I'm doing the opposite and planning to install Tacoma Bilstein 6112/5160 on a 4runner.
So seems like front ones are compatible. What did you have in the rear? 5160s or 5100's? I am curious if Tacoma 5160's are also compatible with a 4runner. Please let me know
