    After reading your additional replies, I'd highly recommend learning more about vehicles in general before you throw any more money at your truck. Could the mechanic have said something? Sure. But you're still throwing more shade than needed for your own lack of research and understanding about your own vehicle. I'd consider this one a learning experience and move on.
