New to me 2023 Tacoma v6 base
    Hi Everyone!

Just got my new to me 2023 base model taco on Saturday. Excited to be back in a pickup after having to get rid of my F150 9 years ago after moving to the city (Halifax, NS) and needing something smaller that more adequately supported my occupation related requirements and non-Alberta provided oil and gas paycheque.

She’s basic but I already love it.

I already made my first mod in the form of DrCarNow seat covers from Amazon. The quality and fit surpassed my expectations, and my wife actually remarked she didn’t realize the truck had leather interior when I was buying it.

Already protecting against my tiny little muddy seat kickers.

For function I’ll be adding a remote start, dash cam, tri fold tonneau cover (like the bakflip style that’s flush with the bed), and running boards or steps for the kids.

Cosmetically I’ll be looking at potentially 5100s on all four corners for the 2/1” look with some larger tires and these rims for a slightly more aggressive stance:

Going with a miniature monster truck feel here in my mind with the bullet holes and the larger tires. It’s my daily driver so no off roading planned, but I still want it to look awesome.

I’ve spent no less than 100 hours so far on this forum already and look forward to learning from the group!!

Second job, dashcam went in today. Just moved my old cam from my car over for now. Thanks to some guidance I got from users here I will probably upgrade to the fitcamx once this one dies, but there are other priorities at hand now for the purchases related to the truck and family. I have a Base model so while I have the adaptive cruise control, there was no dongar options for me since I don’t have the auto dimming rearview, which I know are very popular here on the site for obvious reason. For this install I got a fuse tap kit off Amazon for cheap hardwired it in using the fuse for the windshield washer pump, only runs when my truck is running but I only park at a secure work lot and then my house, both secure places under camera. Pretty simple job took like an hour start to finish with more than the minimum trips to the shed for tools thanks to the ADHD, lol: IMG_6087.jpg IMG_6086.jpg IMG_6085.jpg IMG_6082.jpg IMG_6084.jpg
