Tailgate stolen, found a used one but the wiring for camera was missing. Purchased the wire (actually called it in to ensure correct part).

    Plug isn't the same.

My new female isn't the same. Both have 4 wires. I'm considering cutting off the plug and using the old one.

Bright white is the new one.

    Thoughts?

What’s the plug end on the camera look like?

The camera end snapped right onto the camera plug which had me expecting the same under the tailgate, but not the case.

Ok is that not a plug end cover. I’m pretty sure something unclips from your middle plug photo. Say I’m wrong, either way can I get some better photos of the plug ends? Also I ask how the camera plugs in, because I saw a harness for a tundra, and it looked like it would plug in, but the camera end looked like it might be different. Idk, just trying to help.

    Appreciate any and all help.

I'll pull the harness out tomorrow and take some fresh pictures of both ends and post them.

Last pic looks like my ‘14 connector so maybe it’s a 2-1/2 gen thing. In any case if you can’t get the early 2nd gen tailgate harness you should be able to just get any sealed 4-pin connector pair and splice in both sides.
