Today is Saturday and I was in the grocery store parking lot when I got smacked on my passenger side at the front tire by a little old lady in her SUV. Front passenger wheel is splayed out about 3" at the bottom. Drove it a few miles to get home.
Hope it can be repaired--but looks like all the suspension is now wonky on the front end.
Filed a claim with her insurance but won't hear anything til at least Monday.

Traffic is pretty bad everyday, but Friday's and weekends seem to bring out the absolute worst in drivers in AZ. I think everyone is in a rush to run their errands and make the most of the short 2 days off. It's always a rat race here. A couple more months and the snowbirds will go away.

You might contact your own insurance, pay your deductible and let them go after the at fault party. Sometimes it's easier to get the ball rolling that way.

This misses lost her little commuter car to a similiar incident last year. Situations like this make me so happy my truck sits in the drive way for weeks at a time and it really only driven on the highway and on back roads.

Hopefully it's a speedy resolution and the damage isn't to involved. Should get some pictures of the suspension components I'm curious to see what all failed.

Yep. Some drivers are just thinking they are by themselves. I was sitting in a parking spot (centered) and the person pulls in to the spot next to us. She had a huge suv. Suburban or like. She was maybe 5’ she was just able to see ahead and had no idea of where she was in the space. I looked at her like you’re too close… don't door my truck. She then proceeded to back up, realign. Opps still too close. Back up. Realign. If I hadn’t been sitting there I am sure I’d been doored. Lesson.. know where your vehicle starts ends. Front to back side to side.

Same thing happened to me, exact same story. Bent spindle, and UCA. Just got new SCS wheels a couple days before, body shop ordered me a new one even though it was just a light scuff on it. Even let me order any new sliders I wanted literally because there was a scuff on the slider and they didn’t want to deal with powder coat. Annoying situation but worked out for me.

if your in Phoenix I can recommend Gerber Colision on 83rd North of Union hills.

The front bumper is out of alignment where it meets the fender.

this was about a year and a half ago, not sure if part shortages are still as bad causing delays.

But I got it towed there, they didn’t even look at it for a week, sent initial quote to the other drivers insurance, ordered parts, then repaired it along with some minor body work.

total process was exactly a month.

One last piece of advice, Arizona requires insurance companies to give you a rental that is comparable to your vehicle. The at fault drivers insurance tried telling me her policy only covered a compact car for rental, told them to give me a truck and they realized I was in AZ and they had to give me a truck. Had a brand new F150 for a month.

    Politics..

Letting a centenarian drive is just as crazy as letting an eight year old drive. The adolescent, however, can't vote..

I left straight from the rental car place to San Diego, in that month I did 2 California trips and a couple trips up north.
