I can understand that.. My GT350 is the most tech filled car I have, light years above my DD ‘15 Tacoma

Your post made me think of another example of how Ford screwed the ‘16 model year…. I might mix up the versions but bear with me..

The ‘16s came with Sync 3.2. The ‘17s came with Sync 3.3. The difference was the later version included CarPlay and the Android counterpart..

Ford wouldn’t upgrade our systems without us paying $1000s on new hardware. No thanks.

A few months later someone on another forum posts that if you replace the USB module in the console with a different one that costs $89 (Ford part), log into your Ford Owners site, download the Sync update from the site, plug that into your new USB, hit the right buttons on the screen, bingo bango Bob’s your uncle, you got Sync 3.3 with Carplay.

It worked flawlessly. I went back to my Ford dealer, told him about all that and he said he never was told by Ford that was an option (he owns the dealership- his dad started it back in the early 1960’s).

I’m glad my GT350 is a one and done for me. I’ve met so many who are constantly trading to the latest and greatest. Not me.. I'm gonna grow old with the car and hope I remember all these details in the years to come..

Good idea, yesterday I realized I have 2 of most every Craftsman wrench, some 3 of the same one. I can probably make him a good set with those and still have extra.

Have another set+ at work of Craftsman. I bought a lot of tools when I was younger. When the Sears closed I went to, I bought a lot there on sale.

 

Wind has been awful all night, get ready!!!

 

Guess the last coat of drywall compound is gonna take forever to dry in this humidity.

Got to pick up my friends truck and looks like it'll start storming by the time I get on the road back with it

It's a habit I really need to stop

I might keep this current one, not sure. Although allegedly my manager is putting me in for my next and final tech level so that money may be burning a hole in my pocket

 

You're still young and should be rotating through toys. The GT350 was a 'black birthday milestone' surprise for me so I knew I wasn't going to be trading it in.

Should I make it for another 10 years, I'll be able to slap antique plates on it.. Kinda blows my mind of what an antique is...

 

My problem is I didn't start making good money up until about 8ish years ago. Making up for lost time and having good credit has caused all this mess

 

I replaced some parts on the Roomba this morning.



I think I got my money's worth.

 

Cool. I have no knowledge of Roombas.

We might be zeroing in on a property and my wife has mentioned getting Roombas for the first and second floors. Good to know they’re serviceable

I’d appreciate any tips, tricks or other information

 

There is a bit of a learning curve with them.

I have needed to put some Command hooks on the baseboard to get a couple of cords off of the floor so it doesn't grab them.

If you have light weight rugs, they don't get along. My wife bought a new rug for by the front door. It lasted 2 vacummings and we went back to the old rug.

Same thing with the thick, squishy mats in our bathroom. I don't have it go in there at all.

Depending on what you have in your kitchen, it might get jammed under the base cabinets. That might just be a "me" thing because I put a 5/8" anti-fatigue mat there.

It does force me to at least attempt to keep things picked up knowing that it's going to be vacuuming the entire house every week, which is certainly not a bad thing.

I have it scheduled to vacuum the kitchen every morning at 6:00 and then rotate through the dining room, living room 3 times per week (because dogs), hallway two times and bedroom area Thursday evening.



It's not going to do as good a job on the carpets as a "real" vacuum but it's obviously fine on hardwood and does delay the frequency I need to hit the carpets to catch it back up.

The red areas on the floor plan are "keep out zones". The one on the left is a plant stand it likes to try knocking over and the long one is the edge of the stair railing that it was starting to beat up because it was jumping over the base trim. I'll just grab the stick vac to hit that as needed.

You can also do "clean zones" that are similar to the keep out zones in that you can place them anywhere, name and schedule that area like a room without doing the entire room. I had one set up at the end of our kitchen island where one of the dogs ate but we moved the bowl and it wasn't needed anymore.

 

You have your wrenches mixed with the ones.

Really don't think a Roomba would survive here.

Welp, if selling the tools , the money returned would probably be more than the cost of entire package you paid.
