Same here and I put on the fumoto valve so it's super easy to drain and the full skid covers it all.
How do you measure it out, I’ve been using a mobil1 quart bottle and have spazzed out and spilled filling that!

The filter is still a slight pita working through the acces panel in the RCI skid.

How big is that plate...engine & transmission?
I have the full RCI aluminum engine to transfer case and I can remove just the engine, still kind of a pita.

Again, I'm hesitant to go back to the plastic housing but might since they are different per CCN.

I have friends using 1gal paint measuring cup, one full and one half make 6 quarts.

I buy Costco 5qt jugs, 1 full and 1 qt. Those jugs have qt marks on them.

    Ahhhhhhh no oil filter door.

It is a pita to take mine off but only because I have the transmission & transfer case behind and they all overlap.

Same thing happened to me. Took half a dozen of shop towels to clean the skid plate. I installed the Fumoto drain valve in big part to prevent it.

It doesn't grab the tabs the bottom part grabs the housing like a socket. The tabs holes are guides. (That's the tool I have)

I have it as well, along with several others.
But as mentioned, it's the TW heart breaker..

To be fair, I have had it slip on occasion and attempt to take a bite out of the tabs, so I can see how it could happen.
It's newly beloved brother is, beyond a shadow of a doubt an improvement, especially if you're not the only one that's had a turn on the cannister.

Yeah back in the late 90s/early 2k I was happily into modding everything on my cars (intakes, exhaust, underdrive pulleys, pretty much any bolt on "performance" part I could find and body kits, etc.) but I found one major issue, nothing ever fit like factory or worked as well. They all required me to finagle or mod them to work.

Now... I'm nothing but factory as I'm tired of it and too old to MacGyver parts on...

its a tight fit on the aluminum cansiter enough i have to reverse it to get it off. maybe its a looser fit on the plastic.

I can absolutely see how it would get a better bite on cast aluminum, even if the tolerances happened to be the same.
