    @Strictlytoyz

Gripper tires, another set of wheels, and Micro Komodo ordered. The site wide sale + membership made it way too cheap to ignore :anonymous:

The new wheels will go on one of the existing rigs, and the raw wheels from the Mazz will go with the Spider axles.

    Oof

    USPS has really sucked lately

Got a customer that was supposed to get an order from me like a day or two ago...it's "running late" as usual

For $25, I would definitely recommend these. Right out of the bag, foams and all, these could be run just fine.

Tires are the same size as the Injora's, wheels are wide, but nice overall. Offset is about the same as the stamp steel wagon wheels, just wider poke out. You can see the difference in the sidewall profile.

Injora rings DO NOT fit these wheels, at all. There is another seller on Amazon that has them with brass inserts if wanted for a bit more$$$. The silicone fits just fine though.

Thoughts on compound, damn near the same as the S5 Injora, maybe the same. Mine are broke in so they are super soft right now.
Grip factor is the same, climbed the incline no sweat.
Currently unvented, and untrimmed silicone. Weight is at 41g, just 4g shy of my current set.
    Overall...

    Edit...
    The good and the bad.
Sticky grip is great, crawling my little indoor course they so far have outdone all the rest.
They do have a thicker sidewall, so not quite as soft as the Injora S5, maybe the S4.

The bad, they have a thick bead that won't seat on Injora wheels. The wheels they come with are nice, but that kind of limits things. I don't have enough experience with other brands to know if another would work with a thicker bead.

Otherwise, I like them so far as is.
I was wrong about the offset, they have the same outer track as the other's did, the offset is positive to the inside.

Have some upgrades coming for the C2X so brought it out to get some before shots on Saturday night and think I cooked the servo playing on a rock pile. Anyone have a go-to super budget servo they recommend?

Since the hubs are attached to the face of the wheel, I can run the wheels either way

This allows them to tuck the knuckles inside and keep my overall width manageable even with the extra wide axles

Quick update, had to push my front tires out the tiniest bit.

You can see the inside tire rubs the drag link mounting point a tad -

    Untitled3.jpg

So glad I had bought these but never used them. They were intended for use on my LGRP axle set I never got :annoyed:

    Untitled2.jpg

Even at just +1mm, it made the difference -

She does weigh a little more now though at 415g which is largely due to the larger brass ring up front, and the bigger tires.

I went with Hard Park "medium" weight aluminum rings in the rear, and "heavy" weight brass rings up front.

Tried again and was able to get the tires on my fav wagon wheels. A little tire lube and some patience and they went on fairly easy.

Better size comparison since they are on the same wheels in this pic.

Put the scrub and radius back where I liked it. Ordered another set of wagon wheels so I can get these randoms mounted up.

Flub rc inserts finally delivered. As nice as they are, with how long it takes to get them, I wouldn't hesitate to just run inserts from BAMF

If it's a stock ESC, it may have been just enough to run at the max amperage for too long of a burst cycle, causing the meltdown. Or a short somewhere. Bummer, looks well toasted. Hopefully the can is ok and you can just upgrade the esc.

Man, ran the course today with both rigs.

The Flub RC Slymeballz made my Cheat Code absolutely kill everything; it climbed better even after the tires got dirty as hell. Then I did the hard challenge lines left from this last comp, only to realize my motor was loose (one bolt had fallen out) and I still ran it effortlessly.

The Valkyrie? Well the taller tires helped in a few situations but holy crap they performed terribly. Once they got a little dirty, they spun on everything and couldn't catch traction at all.

The pins really disappointed me today.
