Unfortunately no. I waited too long to try the spring removal. That said, I have nursed this for way too long. Like 4,000mi. So that part has been successful in my mind.

The only thing left is that there is something wrong with the Pressure Plate. My plan is a new friction disk, PP, and TOB. There's no way that the slave spring is going back in there.

Well, the TOB is giving up the ghost yet again. This spring mod definitely prolonged this by a few thousand miles including a couple trips.

I don't know if it will help anyone. There were a ton of options on Amazon. I really wanted a different clutch material but wanted to gauge the pedigree of the Aisin parts.

    Ordered this one:

Was very tempted by this one as a Stage 1:

Just out of curiosity, have you check and adjusted your clutch pedal height and free-play?

    Yessir.

It was good from new. At some point, the pedal started to click in the cold, so I adjusted it just enough to stop the clicking.

The crazy thing to note here is that the TOB always spins. That spring adds pressure to it. That is why I tried this mod. I was surprised by the amount of pressure exerted by just the slave spring alone when I had the trans out of the truck.

It is funny when you consider the long held MT stuff:

    -- Don't ride the clutch.
-- Don't rest your hand on the shifter.
    -- Don't downshift into 1st.

Well, the clutch is riding. Haha!
