    Does anyone else have a Banks iDash set up?

    I got mine set up a few months ago and so far it’s been good. My only issue is that the “trans gear” parameter on the gauge shows
    “P R N D” instead of what gear the transmission is in.

    The iDash was an upgrade from my Scanguage 2 and with the scangauge I was able to see transmission gears 1-6. I find it convenient to know what gear I am in while towing and it would be nice to see.

    other then transmission gear the gauge is awesome as far as what it can display as well as for diagnostic use.

    Unfortunately I can't answer your question and am here to ask you one instead. How do you like the idash so far? I want to get some sort of temp monitoring for my Tacoma since I mainly use it for towing/hauling and while cheaper options exist I like having more info than I need. Any issues with it other than the above mentioned gear number? I should have gotten it a few months ago when it was $325 instead of $425 lol

    I just tow in S and then i know what gear I'm in for monitoring I use a scan gauge 3 and it is the bees knees, the cats meow simply excellent so far after nearly a year of use.

    Never played with its gear display. Maybe I'll do that next time I have the truck out.

    Yes, I have sent that situation to Banks last year and have not heard back. I, we, should call them and ask who is in charge of the Toyota PIDs and go from there.

    I think that’s a good idea. Seems like it should be an easy fix as other gauges can read that parameter

    Banks latest email blast;
    "Today's firmware release (3/14/25) includes additional vehicle-specific support and functionality for GM, RAM, Toyota, Nissan, Jeep, and Honda, as well as other improvements. Our firmware team is hard at work adding new functionality".
    I haven't done it and wonder if the gear section shows the gear driving in.
