    And on the 8th day...
    Gaston created Glock.
    Been a " fanboy" since 88 when I bought a Gen 1 17.
Have had other Glock models and other brand pistols.
Other brands.... all that has done is give me a good working knowledge base...
    Which ain't a bad thing...

I would probably have 30 - 35 pistols of varying sorts if I never horse traded or sold any of them.

With about 4 of them being other model #,s of Glocks and probably 9 or 10 being a 17 of various Gens, of those I probably have had 5 or 6 Gen5 17,s since they came out.

In between other brands of striker fired pistols.

    I'm a 17aholic....

Kinda a viscous cycle buying other brands then saying mehhhhh this pistol is going down the road.
    I always go back to a G17
    Only Gen of a 17 I haven't had was a Gen 2.

You definitely the Glock Man! For me I’m a 17aholic and a 19aholic, leaning a little more to the 19. And I like my Glocks the way they are right out of the box. For the most part the only mod or addition I do is new Trijicon night sights and a rail mounted light. And the best thing about all my Glocks is they always go bang, every fucking time.

Glock executives long ago, in my opinion, gave up on investing in good "standard" sights. Pay the engineers for solid performance because people buy their own night-sights anyway ...

Glock has long said that's why they don't do anything more than the simple plastic sights...theyre designed to be easily swapped for user preference

One of my docs brought me a Taran Tactical Glock to check out. Thing was insane. We got to talking and he's been on a Timney Alpha trigger kick. He bought a bunch when they were on sale for $99, had an extra, and put one in my Glock for freefiddy:D. Man this thing is whole different gun now. Now I'm hoping they start making them for the slimlines

I'm curious as to how it compares to the Glock Performance Trigger.

I have never once replaced any of my Glock triggers. I'm no help there. I'm by no means an expert, but I think anyone could feel the difference b/t this and stock. I like it enough that I will keep an eye out in hopes they make them for the slimlines.

The doc I got it from has an insane collection. He's got fully built Taran's, Zev's, etc. He seems to like these triggers. This one was free, but I will replce my others with the same at some point and time

You should try a Perf Trigger if you get a chance. They are better than a stock Glock, and maintain the Glock reliability standard.

I have never even looked into triggers(at least for Glocks). He was telling me this one kept some of the Glock parts, but I just don't know enough about them to even try to explain

I should look at that one closer.

With a stock Glock trigger, when you pull the trigger, you are partially compressing the striker spring. That's one reason for the heavy trigger pull. The Perf Trigger holds the spring compressed after slide cycle, and just trips a sear. (There are a couple of other factors that contribute to the trigger pull weight, but this is the heaviest one.)

    Guessing, Timney does something similar.

Either way, the better trigger is way more fun to shoot!

The connector is where all the magic happens. I put Ghost Evo Elite connectors in all mine. They require fitting, but it's not complicated. $25-30 max. Gets rid of bump and overtravel. I don't usually replace springs, going too light starts to screw with reset, and stock glock weight isn't an issue once the bump is gone.

He's a self-proclaimed Glock snob. He's also got the money(young doc and old family money) to buy things the average person can't. He buys 3 of most everything. 1 to display, 1 to shoot, and 1 to keep. He has the whole collection of Sig Sauer German Master Shop builds and the Colt snake guns. It seems like he gets a new SBR, can or a few guns each time I work with him

He's on John Wick guns right now.
