has this for sale, for $500
they said they are scuffed up but said theyre straight
but i dont understand how that could be confirmed...risk

what do you think for $500?

    or $400?

Unless they tossed them on the road force balancer they just eyeballed it.

It’s a crapshoot. What’s the return policy? If they show up wobbled and cracked, what would you do?

Seems like a good deal. If any are bent you could potentially pay a wheel repair professional to fix them.

however. I had 17” stock 5-spoke TRD sport wheels. Would I pay money to change from that to what looks like 16’s that may not clear 4runner brakes and offer no functional improvement? No.

unless maybe they’re lighter and allow more and cheaper tire selection.

method has bead grip. Icon has almost beadlock rebound pro. Both sometimes have sales or sell used.
    These don’t have that.

exactly. I was able to sell my old wheels verified straight on a balancer. I’ve worked at shops where we had to do this. Sounds like they didn’t do that.

I bought a used trans from a junkyard before that they said was good. It was not. I was only able to find that out after it was bolted in for a test drive.

if they went to the trouble of taking them off the truck to check them on the balancer they'd probably be asking more than 500

I guess if there's no signs of impact like a damaged tire then it's safe to assume they're "straight". An impact would have to get through quite a bit of sidewall to damage the bead on a 16 inch rim..

They look pretty scuffed up to me, I'd pass. Those wheels are popular but I've never really cared for the cluttered look of a faux bead-lock. I'd rather have a cleaner, more simple alloy design like some (2nd gen) Sport 17s or similar

$500 is a lot of money to a public educated East Tennessee poor boy.
I'm not buying any wheels unless I need them, or they bring me a financial gain of more than $500.

Those wheels look beat to shit.
To me, they look like a waste of time, money, and labor.

    Pass.......

    Pass. Those are pretty rough.

500$ for the rims and assuming you want them refinished so they don’t look like shit im just guessing going to set you back 100+ a wheel. 900$ for some used rims that you don’t know are legit. You can buy those same rims BNIB of the shelf from the dealer for 1200 or less.

You can get takeoff TRD pro rims in black, bronze or gunmetal for 500-700$ in 100x better condition than those.

You can buy the pro rims BNIB of the shelf from dealers for 800-1000$.

The only way those rims would be worth it is if you got them for 200 or less.

Keep in mind they are faux beadlocks.

Restoration of those wheels would be a pretty penny.

At $200 I *might* think about them, depending on the price of trim that needed replacement.

i hear ya. i would prob just shine them up with scratches, as i do wheel my truck, but its in the early stages as i just got a low mile 2015 in last 6 months

the wheels are confusingly about $350-$400 each new unless ya catch a sale

ill prob pass on these - appreciate all the input from everyone

Think those wheels just need a good deep cleaning. The beadlocks with a bit of elbow grease and you can get them shining again.

Could be, tempting for $250 like someone said. 30 mins away, I like the idea of brand new gunmetal sema wheels as well

I would run 255 75 17 for sema, more tire options in 17
