Many many police cars have holes on the roof and trunk. Not a big deal.

Fix the wire loom and get a light bar.

Bud that's some sketch wiring... and could be shorting somewhere...

I'd recommend if you're not replacing the harness at least use some solder heat shrink connectors to actually fix wiring.

    Something like these.

A friend shot a hole in his dining room table while cleaning a gun. He was thrilled no one was home.

Someone link the "install a sunroof" thread here and show that OP there are people out there who aren't scared to take the plunge.

So for comedic and dramatic purposes, I’ll tell the story. I am a coyote hunter. There’s a yote on the side of the road one night. I had an old .22 laying in the backseat, as well as my 6.5 with a thermal scope. I chose the .22 for sake of efficiency. The trigger guard is broken, but that’s okay because I’m “very careful with guns”. Well I had my binos in the cup holder behind my arm. As I pull the .22 to the front, the trigger guard slides over enough for the bino strap to grab the trigger. I don’t recall how loud it was because I didn’t know what happened at first, like a flash bang. Once the smoke cleared and there was no blood, I laughed. Later I realized how loud it was because I still couldn’t hear sht.

You should consider getting rid of your guns, or at least improving your safety protocols.

Sad to say this is NOT the first post like this here. Someone else sent one out the floor and messed up a bunch of wiring as well.

I can’t help with the wiring, but you are likely gonna need some of this to fix the roof for sure!

Didn’t get the yote. Also, I know the splicing is whack, it’s temporarily taped until it’s all fixed and I can secure it all for good.

Was there something on the ceiling that you didn’t like? An old forest service cabin I was staying at had bullet holes along the living room floor boards. I asked what that was from and nobody really said anything. Later on I found out that a fire crew shot at rats while staying there.

OP: now you can install a CB antenna to cover the hole.

My best friend in life shot a hole in his mom's nice piano while preparing to clean his 20 gauge after a bird hunt. When you think the gun is without a doubt unloaded, check one more time! :p We still laugh about it and that was 40 years ago.

Good luck recovering from this OP!

I'm thinking not many people have shot a bullet through their wiring, headliner, and roof...

Edit - I tried looking at the wiring diagrams for my 2013 thinking it shouldn't be too different, but it's not even the same color combo - sorry.

And thats where you're surprisingly wrong lol. Someone else posted a similar thread not too long ago, although they shot through the firewall I believe, not the roof.

If you ever encounter trouble I hope that gun has some heft with it because it's not useful unloaded.
