As a daily driver, the 4 turbo is more than enough. Most it’s going to see is dirt roads to hiking trails and gravel roads to mountain Airbnb’s haha. Maybe ice as of the recent weather down south if that’s gonna be a thing next year. You don’t see many teslas down here. People are vandalizing them up north and commiefornia

we are averaging 18.6 but that’s “city” driving. From what I’ve seen, it only gets like 2mpgs more than the non hybrid. She started thinking a hybrid rav 4 and I just told her it’s all about the “smiles per gallon”. No regrets!

 

Have you noticed the engine being noisier than the 3rd gens V6? When I first got my 4th gen I was like "WTF is this a diesel?"

 

Haha I haven’t noticed it being louder, granted I have an aftermarket exhaust on my 3rd gen taco and that thing is too loud. The ORP premium has soundproofing under the hood but I don’t know how much that helps?

 

Ah, yea mines just an SR5 so no hood insulation. SR5's were the only thing on the lot when I was replacing my 3rd gen. Not a month later Sports and Offroads started pouring in

It's all good though. It has JBL audio, heated seats and steering wheel so all I really need. Never used the locker in the 3rd gen anyways.

 

Looks good. I like the fact that they are also adjustable in/out.

Any tracking on the leaf packs yet?

 

Man and the 3rd gen has a loud V6 too!

 

What baffles me is our '23 Camry with the 2.5 4 banger is noisier than the 4th gen.

 

No, nothing yet.

 

Now to get upgraded leaf hangers!

Not the best pics but here's the difference between the OEM spring seat on the PRO Fox coilers and the Westcott. Pair that with the 1/2" top plate spacer in the kit and you get 1.5".

If anyone does the Westcott kit be sure to order extended length studs for the top mount from Headstrong Offroad. They worked out perfect.

Our coffee machine took a dump this morning so I had to settle for McDonald's coffee.

 

Oh that’s sucks. I always keep one of single keuirg machines as a back up. Nothing worse than no coffee in the morning.
