    Not sure if this helps;

    I went through a similar setup question, with slightly different results.

    Given where you're at I'll say two things.

    1. Do the Overland Tailor Tune, you wont regret it. I am on the lowest setting they offer (stock tires size 245/75r16 or 30.5") and it is absolutely phenomenal. You will only lose MPGs as a result of your own enjoyment at stepping on the gas and the truck behaving more like a real vehicle. I am upping my tire size a smidge and I expect that to behave even better because the initial throttle is still a touch sharp and not as predictable as I want. No gear hunting happens anymore and she downshifts when she needs to.

    2. Blocks. Like you, I don't like them but, she rides fine right now and even through it's a 1.5" block I know if I spend the money on the leaf pack I'll hate myself when unloaded.
    Enter an alternative idea? Airbags, some absolute cons to this but some definite pros too. There are a million ways to set them up and you can make them "wheeling capable" with the correct adaptations. Otherwise they are more of a road friendly work truck item.

    My setup includes: Bilstein 5100s all four corners, but OME 2886 coils and "zero" setting on the 5100s, this gives me about a 2" lift up front. 1.5" block in the rear (for now) I have a winch and hidden steel tray that is overbuilt so the 660 lb spring rate works out well and she rides better than stock. OTT setting on it its lowest and I am about to install 265/75r16s (31.6") with no cutting required.

    **Sidebar, you might be amazed with that the completely stock truck can do. I've "wheeled" it stock at landrover rally's before and holy.

    That is a really nice setup - you will love the 265/75R16 - did that for a year and did all kinds of stuff off road except for the most extreme or difficult - intermediate stuff was no problem. Next step get rid of the blocks and get a leaf pack - Deaver pretty much is considered the best quality but for the $$ RXT is pretty good as well. I went with RXT and I am happy although some people complain about them squeaking which so far has not been an issue for me but time will tell I guess.

    Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
    This thread is a great example of why adding a bunch of "upgrades" and accessories to your truck doesn't increase the value one bit.

    There's a good chance the next owner has no interest in your mods and therefore no interest in paying extra for them.

    You are absolutely correct - any mods you make you should realize the added value is for you only not for the resale of your truck. I will even take it one step further I think lots of buyers may even be of the opinion that some mods decrease the value of the truck in terms of reliability or additional wear and tear.

    Want to do my headlights, tail lights, fog lights, and a head unit upgrade (Entune 3.0) and I think I'm done for a while after that. I also have a new blacked out TRD decal that I am going to put on when the weather gets a bit nicer to replace the stock black/red ones in the rear.
