Hey guys I've got a 15 DC. Should I remove the front mud flaps or trim them? If I trim them, does anyone have a good way to do this? Thanks for the help, Clayton

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
First off, welcome, and thank you for your service.

If you wheel, take them off.

If you don't, and want to keep a little protection for your paint and the people behind you in traffic, nothing wrong with trimming them.

I trimmed mine (about 5" off the front, and about 4" of the rear flaps).

If you want to trim, I recommend to take the flaps off the truck, use one of the flaps bottom edges and draw an outline on the other flaps. Use some strong snips/shears to cut. Then reinstall back on the truck.

Under "Mods & Tutorials" drop down click on the first one, "Cheap Tacoma Mods" then scroll down to #43.

There is a lot of good tricks and tips under here and everyone is helpful (at least in the few people I have dealt with)

They do wear off your paint in no time. So if you plan on removing them do it now.

I agree, the MODERATOR is letting all kinds of non- 3rd gen topics post here. It is simple to move to the gen 2 section - WAKE UP!

Tin snips worked great for cutting my flaps.

On the rear, I gut them to just below the 4X4 lettering.

On the front, I took off about 4 inches I think. I just did a strait cut across bottom then rounded the edges a bit.

FYI, you posted this in the "3rd Gen" section. Your truck is a 2nd Gen.
