Looking into upgrading my fuel pump was looking into the URD kit but wondering who all has done it or if there are others to look into. Let me know your thoughts.

I installed URD's kit to support my supercharger mods. The kit also replaces the fuel filter and locates it outside the tank.

I have one of their kits brand new that I may be open to selling at a discount. It’s just been sitting around. I can buy another later.
Or I will keep this one and install it another time.

    1. an upgrade can mean delivering more fuel if needed for supercharged

    2. even if it’s not a higher delivery unit, it can still be an upgrade because of the following.
-you would be replacing a tired old unit. Fuel pumps don’t last forever.
-the stock pump does not have a replaceable filter like cars typically do. That one would typically change under their car every 40k to keep it lasting, because fuel is not perfectly clean and that’s the point of a filter. My previous normal cars had replaceable fuel filters from factory that I changed at 40k intervals that was not hard to do so. The URD kit adds a separately replaceable filter.

I'm interested which kit is it I noticed that there are a few options they offer. I am not supercharged but do want the option of being able to change the filter when needed. I work in the boating industry and seeing the ability to change these in line fuel filter is a game changer.

far as I’m aware the two standard pumps they sell are walbro and deutsch with the former being their default and the kit that I have.

I installed the URD kit with AEM pump. I’d read in the magnussen thread that the walbro pump was loud. No complaints thus far.

Well I'm not supercharged so I was looking at the other pump that they offer not the walbro due to it being loud. But I had a duramax with FASS fuel and those were loud but so was the truck

The urd kit has either the Walbro, aem or deutchworks pump available. The latter being e85 compatible.

I highly doubt you'll notice any noise from the Walbro unit as you may have read online. I've been running it for years non supercharged and supercharged.

Good to know on that, I'm gonna pull the trigger and just do it and be done with it. Don't want to be in a scenario where I get stranded on a trail hours from home. Plus with a big two week trip coming up in a couple of month I gotta get it done.

I ran a Walbro in another vehicle and have a
Deatschwerks in the Tacoma. No issues with either pump.

Walbro was the golden standard in the jdm tuning world for a very long time. Its only because of the technological advancements that it is considered "noisy". Maybe the only time I really heard it was in my completely stripped out rsx. No carpet, seats or sound deadening, stupid stiff suspension and solid mounts everywhere over a decade ago..
