    Good shit!

Man I'm telling you, the one and only climb I would have trouble on with my Mazz build handled it much easier once I got the Slymeballz.

Oh I believe it! Once I put the bamf inserts on my nacho chassis it made a huuuge improvement on tire traction. Looking forward to seeing what slymeballz do to my ccv3 rig. Will definitely update once I do!

Rear axle for my 1/10 scale build showed up today so I built them up and mocked up what I could. Just waiting for links and chassis to show up now.

Printed another mount for the bug to fit over the fuel tank. I want to be able to run both bodies and the fuel tank is critical.

Playing around with link geometry, I have discovered that it does make a significant difference in straight up hill climbs.
But both trucks reacted different. The axle riser on the CC did nothing, but moving the upper link on the frame did.
The Cheat Code had the top link in the bottom hole and did pretty well, but had a tendency to lift the front wheel on inclines of 55°, and occasionally flip.
I moved it to the center hole, can't go much higher due to wiring.

and it now does 60°, carefully, to the top with all 4 planted. The rear actually rises up and pushes the front down.

    UTB was similar but different...
No adjustment on the body, but uppermost hole on the riser give it the same hill climb results.

I was genuinely surprised at the results and the links will prolly stay in their new locations.

Now it's time to build another, but maybe go 1/18. :D

Well, went back to finish the comp build.

Realized I'm missing both shock tower braces along with the front body mount.

I had already planned to order the shock towers and braces in aluminum so no real loss, just surprised they were missing but shown as included in the instructions.

    Driveshafts, motor, and transmission bolted!

Just need to decide on wheels - I'm 90% set on the raw finish but I gotta say, the black wheels look good too.

Also, the real-estate on this thing is crazy! To go from the Valkyrie build to this is like going from renting a room to buying a 10 bedroom house out in the boonies with a lot of acreage

I want to see those disc brakes operational! :D
Tiny press fit hydraulic lines ran to each one with a small pressure reservoir, servo activated. This could be a thing someday. Would totally remove any drive train slop from the equation.
The HPI Nitro Savage had a single trophy truck style disc brake on the rear driveshaft that used a servo to clamp down, worked fairly well for a 20 pound truck.

Buy a set of axles, I'll give you a headsup when they're in stock again ;)

Raw finish is definitely the way to go!

Poor tires look good, but they'll never be put to actual use

    Thanks!

I do really like that Toyota lexan body that LGRP sells but really I'm open to anything that'll "look good"

Need to find out what other bodies I can use outside of the Jeep or Powerwagon options

Suggestions? This thing uses a rear hinge mount if that helps.

    Thanks!

It's my most capable rig, but the rainbow vomit body got pretty beat up already

@Deathbysnusnu and @Strictlytoyz are also running the same chassis, just different bodies

Me too, but you gotta screw a few up before they look less screwed up. :homer: You should see some of my early attempts. Fortunately having them roll in the dirt and rocks makes them look "better".
Some guys have a natural flair for it, I am not that guy. No more than two colors. :D
