I think I saw this vid elsewhere on the forum but it's pretty much what I'm thinking for my 2024 SR5 at this point. These OEM 18" TRD wheels look great on the SR5 to my eye, especially with the heritage center caps (for fun!), and they're reasonably priced at about $250 each around the net. Probably get something like Trail-Terrains & be happy. The package solves the the 17" recall problem and I expect I can recoup some of cost selling the original wheels/tires on marketplace. I'd probably upgrade to the OEM Heritage Grille just for fun too. Looks like they are in stock now at some dealers and not super expensive, though a bit of a project to install.

I use my Taco mostly as a daily and part-time work truck, with a little dirt road off roading for jobs when I need to. Be nice just to add a little of the bling I've been thinking about and resolve the recall at the same time.

I had done something similar with my SR5 - just didn't like the silver factory wheel and smaller tire package, so when I saw the post last summer about the brake line rubbing on the 17" wheels with dirt/ice build up, I took that as a good reason to upgrade even before the recall notices were issued. I went overboard perhaps, and got a set of 20" wheels from a '23 Tundra (direct bolt on with bore, lug nuts, and offset specs), and put some BFG Trail Terrain tires on them. Love the look, like how they work in our PNW wet weather and light snow we get, and solved the brake line risk until the formal fix is available from Toyota. I too don't offroad seriously, only running on fire roads or easy two track primarily when the truck isn't being used as a daily driver / work truck.
I sold my OEM set on Marketplace for $600 and felt that was fair, and it offset more than half the cost of the new wheel/tire set up so I was happy.

I do like your wheels. I see a lot of 20" Tundra takeoffs on marketplace. I worry 20" is too large, that I'd end up with too little rubber. Any issues? There are so many wheel/tire threads around here. I'm a simple guy and try to keep my truck the same.

Nope, had no issues with them! Weight was more than the factory SR5 wheels/tires set up, but I didn't notice much of a power or MPG loss with them on, but I did notice a lot better traction in wet weather and especially standing water at speed.
