Do you reverse-park your Tacoma in parking lots?

Nope. I've seen people try it, but there's not much room for them anyways, and I'm pretty certain those in smaller cars don't want to try and take on a full size Nissan 4x4. You know, we have some of that "Altima no effs given energy" maybe with a shiny new Tacoma people assume you care too much about your truck and they can push past you.

    1. Always back in whenever possible.
    2. Make sure I'm exactly between the lines.
    3. Make sure to park as far away as possible to avoid other assholes.
    5. As I walk away, admire my truck and be on the lookout for any other potential issues such as sketchy looking individuals or suspicious cars.

    #3 never works.
A few years back I leased a GTI. I wanted to keep it nice since it was a lease. I found that the only knicks, dings I got on that car were when I parked far away and came out to find some pos car parked right next to it. You know, Buick Roadmaster, Chrysler Cirrus, clapped out Altima, etc.

On vehicles I own outright, I never care. I park wherever, and I never get dings. It's weird, and makes no sense. Even with my FS truck that swallows nearly the entire parking spot, parked next to vehicles that hugged the line it's been fine.

I kinda feel bad for those who worry so much and go to great lengths to keep their rig pristine, seems like no fun to me!

I worked as a temporary driver for UPS one Christmas season. They taught their drivers to avoid backing if possible. If you must, you back in, pull out forward.

Previous truck was an F350 CCLB 4x4. Well over 20ft long and wider to boot. This little taco is so much easier to park and deal with in parking lots it's not even funny. Is it the easiest vehicle I own to do so? No, of course not. If it was my daily driver it would no doubt be annoying, but not a deal breaker IMHO. Tradeoffs.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
I always reverse park. It's safer than pulling in nose-in.

The only scenario I'd park nose-in is when I have to load a large object onto the bed.

I haven't heard of reverse parking in one-plate states being illegal, but I do think it may be hard for some parking lot security to check for validation if they validate by license plates.

Not since someone backed into my truck from a space across from me. I prefer that they back into my rear bumper and tow hitch.
I have RCT alert so I’m not concerned of backing out of space myself.

I've never successfully reverse parked in angled spots!
