What Have You Done To Your 4th Gen Today?

I didn't notice much difference.

 

Dang. She’s a beaut, Clark! Really, really, really love those NYTOP rock sliders! 85lbs each. You notice any lag in power adding 170lbs of steel? Lovely truck!

 

I just brought my truck from the dealership yesterday and it was the first thing my son did for me haha.

 

And the single best looking mod to the Tacoma

 

Finally getting a chance to wrench on the new truck. Yesterday and today ...

• Installed Victory 4x4 sliders.
• Installed the "smaller" Canada mudflaps (
  $145 PK389-35R00-P1 Genuine Toyota 2024+ Tacoma Mudguard Kit, Black, 4-Piece Set, Driver and Passenger Side, PK389-35R00-P1
  PK389-35R00-P1).
• Removed resonator and installed the TrailHunter exhaust tip (PT226-35241-AA).
• Wired the rock lights on the Victory 4x4 sliders to Aux2 dash switch.
• Wired a relay off the Aux3 switch for future ... cuz it was there and I could.

The provided wire pigtail for the Aux1-3 switches. I installed a 4-pin Weather Pack connector. Currently Aux 2 is wired to the rock lights on the sliders, and Aux 3 is to a relay (for future). Aux1 will be for the driving lights on the front bumper.



The Aux3 relay mounted on driver's side fender, triggered and grounded.

Anyone know where the vent breather is on the front diff for the 4th gen?

 

It doesn’t really. Besides. It’s a truck. Not really needed..

 

My dad had this old 3rd gen bed mat laying around so I did some really bad cutting and it fits pretty good

I have the Trd off road premium five max and my shocks are blue. Why are yours red? Curious as I have seen others with red. Why are mine blue?

 

You should.have the Billy piggy back resi shocks on the OR. I do as well and they are red.

 

Replaced the Toyota Predator step bars with DV8 OE Plus Side Steps/Sliders. Love the look and super beefy. Lots of room to slap my foot onto getting out of the truck too. Also hoping they'll keep mud and rocks from getting up onto the rear fenders...not to mention keeping door dingers at bay.

Oh, and I gave Yoda a bath...15 minutes after drying it off I could see a dusting of pollen on the hood... the yellow wave is here!

You are correct. Mine are red. They just have a blue protective over on the top portions.

 

I was going to say look deeper in your chassis. The blue is just a cover sleeve.

FYI, the weight on these wasn't bad overall. 33 lb each for a total of 66 lb is decent for steel step/sliders this beefy.

 

Gotta admire a guy that still has a temp tag on his new rig and takes it straight off road! Badass my friend!
