We just got our first 2025 TRD Sport 4Runner at the dealership. It is white, and as far as I can tell, all of the sports come with a black hood scoop. It got me to thinking that my red TRD Sport Tacoma would look pretty sweet with a black scoop to go along with the black wheels and badges.

Has anyone swapped their scoop out for a different color?

Maybe you could get someone to photoshop it first, so you could get an idea of what it would look like- just a thought

I suspect it will look a lot like this photo that I stole off of the internet...

Take it off and either have it wrapped or painted.

You could also try hyperdip. It’s good stuff. I can pretty much guarantee that you will like the black, so having it painted is probably the best option.

I swapped mine on my trd sport for an oem black one. Looks way better and whole install took about 1 minute. About 5-6 10mm nuts on the underside and it pops straight off. New one just pops back on and bolts back. Super easy!
