Oil leak in my 2007 Tacoma v6

    Hello everyone, this is my first post here, recently i notice an oil leak on a screw between the alternator and the exhaust manifold I tried to adjust it but it didn't work and it kept spinning. any idea how can i fix it?

    i appreciate your answers

    Welcome to TW!

    The source of an oil leak can be hard to find. Clean off the area (don't use a pressure washer) and see where it is coming from after running it for a while. After it is clean, a dry dusting of flour may help show where it is leaking.

    I'm not sure what the bolt in the picture is for...but I'd be surprised if oil is leaking from behind it.

    thank you for the answer! I took a video about the oil leak, hope it looks better. I will try to change the screw for a new one.

    Wow, that is a leak. I looked up a parts diagram. I looks like that is where the oil control valve filter is.

    Yep, that is the VVTi Oil Filter BOLT. The gasket under there (p/n 90430-16007) is probably leaking. This bolt should be torqued to 46 foot-pounds.
