No; but a few more pictures of where it's coming out of and going into might help.

I guess Friday comes early this week.

It looks aftermarket. You will need to figure out where it comes from and where it goes. Nobody will be able to help you without more info. GPS antenna, camera, light bar...the options are endless.

You got the power locking tailgate? Looks like the harness was port/dealer installed and not secured properly.

All wires in that area are ina loom and pass through the bed into tailgate through a grommet. There are never any loose wires anywhere on the truck unless someone has done modifications. Toyota is pretty metuculous about strapping, wrapping and securing.

You have a lot of faith in dealer techs. willing to bet it's the tailgate power lock.

The green exposed wire looks an awful lot like the OEM tailgate power lock harness with the loom removed. Red wire possibly out of view behind the green wire.

I see the Arabic plate. What mods does the truck have in the tailgate area?

Probably (or rather hopefully). Coming out of the factory though, everything is neat and tied up. Dealer techs and everyone who touches it afterwards is another story. I was strictly speaking about truck coming off the factory floor.

Yes that’s why I said dealer/port installed because they don’t come installed from the factory

Do you have a theft prevention lock on your tailgate hinge? If you do a thief may have attempted to steal your tailgate and gave up when the tailgate couldn’t be removed.
