If toyota would start building good proportioned, value priced, reliable vehicles.....then maybe it wouldn't be the Ford group. Rumor is tundra might get a v8 again but I very much doubt it. Ram and Dodge are certainly getting v8s again

It's the cost for me. The Tundra is reliable, and a good size. But the F150 is what, 20k less 1:1? The F150 is good proportioned, and reliable. The engine lineup in them is top notch! They killed off the 3.3 which I think was a bad idea, that was a bulletproof workhorse NA V6 in an F150. That was a go to for a lot of people, including a LOT of fleets. But, that's not to say the 2.7/3.5 and the 5.0 are also all reliable engines too.

Can't lie, Ford's been killing it for the past 5-8ish years on the F150. Not so much on the focus, but hey, 1 for 2.

As do I. Driving mine until it dies. And next truck will probably be my dad's tundra when he hands it off. When the wife's infiniti dies, leaning toward mazda or a volvo wagon

I always thought the MPG in the Tundra were sad in comparison to the other full sizes, except maybe the Dodge.

Focus, Fiesta, same shit different box holding the shit.

Actually the Focus MT and the focus RS and ST are great cars. I think they made a "plain" focus trim with an MT, not the ST/RS trims.

Oh it's trash, but it's comparable to other NA V8s I thought.

Remember when they thought this looked good?

    Random tool update

I was gifted one of these, thought it was kinda silly.
Used it last night - 100% NOT silly. 100PSI in a minute or two in my road bike tires. Might not do so well stacked up to a tacoma, sure, but for bikes and such - this thing was brilliant. Stuffed it in my glove box to keep it charged, but two tires from about 50 up to 100 PSI and the battery still shows 100%.

I had a 150 double cab a few years ago when my frame was getting the first inspection and coating. I think 2016 model? Was decent but I said the same about normal traffic even around our hood.

Same re the full size, though if I had to do something right now I'd be hard pressed not to go F150..at least before doing some more digging on the genre. Don't want a Dodge Rot, err Ram. I'd buy a Dodge before anything GM. The Tundy is nice but a fortune. Not sure re the Titan or other options.

I don't do a lot of exploring in the city with my truck. I know a couple garages I fit in or surface lots and bee line straight to them and back. Visibility in the 250 in traffic is surprisingly good. I've been in full size trucks since 2013, super duty crew cabs since 2018 so it's sort of natural now.

When I was comparing the Tundra and F-150 this time around, one of the Tundra pros was that it was less expensive.

Just tried again and a Tundra as similar as I can get to my current truck is $65,325 MSRP, a Ford is $72,330.

Granted, you can get a better discount on the Fords which helps balance it out some, but the biggest bargains are usually on XLTs and I was shopping F-150 Lariats against Tundra Limiteds.

It’s pretty crazy how that beast of a truck cost less than a lot of the new Tacomas.
