2025 Bed lights, exposed wiring

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a brand new 2025 Taco and after only having it a few days, a deer ran into the side of it. I just got it back from the body shop after 3 months. I noticed today that the bed lights wiring comes up inside the bed and then runs across to both sides (see attached picture). Does anyone else have these lights on their 2025 truck and is this how they are run? The replaced the bed of my truck and I am not sure if it came from the factory this way of the body shop did this. It looks like crap and there is some rust from the hole.

 

Can you provide a picture of the wires you are talking about? The picture you provided is just of a strap and some drain tubes from your cover.

 

Those diagonals are drain tubes from your cover.

 

Thank you both for your assistance. I mistakenly assumed the diagonal drain lines were the wires for the bed lights. That never even crossed my mind that they were drains.

 

Yes, drain tubes, and they are on my 2024 too with that exact same cover.

 

They may be drain tubes but they still look terrible. Not even centered.
