My daughters starting to be able to push herself along on her bike

    IMG_9868.jpg

And i finally got to work on a freaking bike for the first time in forever. Put a rear rack on my 701 and strapped a US-5 to it.

    IMG_3516.jpg

Now I just need to get out and ride the damn thing. Today is the first day my daughters been at daycare in about two weeks, she got pretty sick for a bit with RSV followed by a double ear infection and is FINALLY feeling better and sleeping through the night again. Hoping wednesday i won’t be on daycare drop off duty and can ride to work. It’s supposed to be 70+ here!

I'm a divorced dad with a little guy and I get 50% of weekends to ride haha, it's annoying but a great reason to not be riding.

I'm glad I had a boy because if I had a girl that cute I'd be such a pushover lol.

While not seeing your kid 50% would suck those free weekends do sound nice sometimes, haha.

Found a couple things for the oven. Found some 20g sheet metal that will cover the inside and outside for $120. Found it on FBMP. I priced it at my nearest metal supermart and they quoted me $440 so that’s a big savings. Also found a Stanley 2 1/2 “x72” door hinge for $20. I believe they are $50+ new. He has three left over from a job.
Need to get metal studs, insulation and door latches.

Just got back with the sheet metal. Got some real nice pieces. More than enough to build a 3x3x5 oven. And picked up the door hinge too. All for $140. Well if you count the oven I bought a few years ago for $50 bucks I am at $190. Then I picked up a couple latches off Amazon and a sheet metal cutter for my dewalt drill. That came to $70 bucks. So I am at $260 right now.
Now I need studs and insulation. My old boss said he would look around the shop to see if he has any scrap studs and insulation around that I can have.

Installed new handle bars on the Harley. Way better wrist position than the stock bars. Made some progress on the powder oven. Will work on it more tomorrow.

NOCO makes great chargers. I have the older version of that charger and have zero complaints. Probably had it 8 or 9 years now? I also have the 5A version of that charger for my cars, again, no complaints.

If you're only using it on one bike, you don't need to buy another pigtail. You can unscrew the clamps off the leads and there will be eyelets you can attach to your battery posts. Zip tie the head somewhere easily accessible on your bike and use the quick connect whenever you need it. Suuuuper slick and no need for SAE adapters. I'm slowly converting my bikes over to their connector. 2 have x-connect, 1 has SAE, 1 has nothing right now.

Edit to add in the diagram from the page, you can see the bottom clamp is unscrewed to reveal the eyelet:

    upload_2025-3-26_19-59-0.png

Edit 2: you'd also be fine with the 1a charger if it's just maintaining. Motorcycle batteries are small enough they can do 1a instead of 2 with zero issues. The 1amp still has all the same modes (normal, li-ion/lifepo4, agm, 6v)

Thanks, gents. I do have a couple of their jump packs that work well, but wanted to hear the input on this one. Thank you!

After 20 hrs of driving over 2 days, I made it to COTA—and in time to make my fantasy baseball draft! In a moment of brilliance, I used the yeti to rest the trailer on so I could position my truck. Of course, the rain came as soon as I started setting up which made things fun.

I have bought a few 1 amp units for various people over the years, I use the 1amp one exclusively to keep all of my stuff topped off. Great lil charger, nice to have the different options including lithium. I made a converter to SAE plug as thats what all my motos have out of a burnt out maintainer from HF.

that's gotta be the cleanest slider i've ever seen, nice,(assuming that's what the picture is meant to highlight)

I liked the CRG Blindsight mirrors when I had my XSR, they have a slightly larger but similar option as well. could position them over or under, though they did stick out a bit past the bars, not sure if you want one that only drops down but not out.

Here is the charger I have. I don’t use my battery tender anymore. I just use this to freshen up the batteries. Of course Noco

IMG_5144.jpg IMG_5145.jpg IMG_5142.jpg IMG_5141.jpg IMG_5145.jpg Made good progress today on the oven. Went and picked up insulation, fire sealer, screws and aluminum tape. Built the top 3x3 100% . Then started framing in the walls. Got it all framed in , square and sturdy. Tomorrow (if I am not too sore lol) I will sheet the interior. The door build will be after I strip my old oven for its heating elements and door glass. The oven glass will be incorporated into the door.
Then I can get all the elements and wiring done and proceed to insulate and sheet the exterior. It is also 6” shorter at 4’6” x 3’ x 3’. Should be plenty of room to powder coat.
