The back of my left hand was swollen for weeks. The hammer handle would bump the back of it once every 10or 15 hits but it was a bunch of hammer blows to do all these rooms. My block has a handle on it it works great but you have to be extra careful.

Excellent field of fire. Perfect for a mortar FO. You could control the whole valley with one good crew of 60s.

 

That reminds me of a story:
Back when I was in high school, my parents bought this cabin on a nice little river in the woods. Every year, we'd spend a week up there with my aunt, uncle and cousins. The place was really rustic, really small. If it wasn't raining out, we would have meals at a big outdoor table that was made out of an old wire spool. The stools were nothing more than cut off logs with a piece of wood nailed to them. They weren't the most stable.

One year, my uncle tipped over at dinner (maybe a few too many beers?) and cracked a rib when he fell against one of the unused stools.

The next day, my dad decided it was time to replace the hand pump on the well that provided the fresh water. Of course, the old one was being a stubborn biotch to get off and since the pump was being replaced with a new one, a little brute force was used. At one point, frustration set in and dad pulled out the BFH to make things happen. The first blow glanced off the pump, right into dad's shin. We all got a great laugh, watching dad dance around in pain...all except my uncle, who was doubled over in pain. After composure was regained, dad took another swing...from the other side...he wasn't going to have that happen again! You guessed it...that happened again. We though my uncle was going to die...dad's dance included some rather colorful language.

Next year...no projects.

It’s just the fake laminate flooring with a separate underlayment, basement floor. Pretty nice, kinda easy install, looks like #3 maple

 

Um , we need to talk, you know they have pills for this kind of behavior

only we are building PKMs instead of 60's. cause 54R is the schinzzle.
