Total height question

2025 Toyota Tacoma SR5 has a height of 74.6 inches.

The lift is 2.5" in front and .75" in rear

The tires are nitto ridge grapplers 285/75/17

The wheels are 17/8.5

The garage is 7 feet.

How much clearance will I have?

My math has it at 6'11" and that's pretty damn close.

But I'm not great at math.

Can someone please try and double check?

 

Have you bought this truck and taken ownership, or are you in-process and trying to decide if you should buy it?

 

Your math is off. Mine has 1.5inches of lift on 285’s, I’m 6ft and can see the roof top on my tippy toes.

I’d guess the top of the shark fin is about 6’1ish

If it helps, I have a 25 Sport with Ready Lift SST 2.5/1. I have 17” x 8.5 Method 703’s with Falken Wildpeak 285 70 17’s I just measured and my height is right around 74” +- from floor to roof. That is not including the fin which would add several inches.

 

Shark fin is very close to 2.5"

 

I've got 24 OR (stock) and it's roughly 6'3" to top of shark fin. City garages are like 6'7" in some cases so I needed to get accurate measurement.

 

Let me throw a wrench into your works. What's the delta grade between drive and garage? Is it level or is it at a slope?



Unless you have to mitigate water intrusion I bet you'll clear.

 

It's a parking garage in downtown Philly, not my house. Sign said 6'7" limit, which I'm sure is a total guess, so I needed to see exactly how much room I had so I don't scratch or rip off the shark fin on my brand new truck.
