So I just order SCS ray10 17x8.5 for my 2016 Tacoma. I also order bfg ko2 275/70r17 both will be arriving tomorrow. I'm also waiting for my OME Stock kit (group buy) to arrive which I probably won't get for a few weeks. My question is, do you think the 275/70r17 will fit the stock suspension 3rd gen taco without rubbing ? I want to install the new wheels/tires ASAP but if it's going to rub I would rather just wait until I get my lift kit installed . Any insight is greatly appricated.

Wait. I own a 2nd Gen, but I believe that size tire will rub your fender liner pre-lift. No need to :sawzall: if you don't have to

What do you use the truck for? If it's just a city truck you're probably fine. Might rub a bit in parking lots etc. Typically a cmc is for offroaders, city drivers don't care about some rubbing when turning sharp.

I drive alot of highway and i am on alot of logging roads and construction sites for work. I also take it fishing but i dont do anything crazy considering its my daily. And my only vehicle, i am worried about having to do a CMC . I am totally fine losing the mud flaps and heat gunning the fender liner, im hoping with 17x8.5 and -10 offset and a 2" lift/ level i can pull off 275-70r17 wildpeaks

I have 5100's all around set to 1.5 in the front and a 1" block in the rear. BFG KO3's 275/70/r17 on Ray10's. Tires rub when I turn and hit a pot hole or a bump at the same time. I don't think going up to 2" is enough to stop the rub but if you don't mind heat gunning your fenders then you should be good.

Your ray 10s are the 17x8.5 with a negative 10 offset? Your not making any contact with the cab mount right?

Just ordered the Ray 10's, arriving in April some time, I'm running 285/70/17 and have the 6112/5160 and a CMC, I do rub on rare
occasions on incline driveways and even in the hills on some deep ruts, I also run wheels spacers, this is the reason for me switching wheels,
want to get rid of the spacers, my wheels right now are FNFX 0 offset! Keeping fingers crossed it will work out!
