Stupid question alert (only because I'm not very mechanically inclined) -

Took the Tacoma in to my local shop for regular maintenance and inspection. They said that I have some play in the upper ball joints, but could only quote the labor since I have the Icon Tubular UCAs...is buying replacement Delta Joints the same thing as what they described as the upper ball joints?

    Thanks!

I'm struggling to understand the question here...

The shop says that they are willing and able to do the labor for ball joint replacement, but are not able to source the parts? Is that right?

Correct, because I have aftermarket (Icon) Upper Control arms. Sorry for the confusion...but I am just trying to figure out if the upper ball joints (that they mentioned) are the same thing as the Delta Joint in my UCAs. I thought I read somewhere that they are basically the same thing.

    Stawk as FUCK!
Call Icon to ask for a part number. Pretty sure those dumb delta joints are only available from them. Meaning the shop wouldn’t have a local store that would have them in stock & would have to order them from Icon. This is what you get for getting an Icon upper arm with that dumb delta joint.
