Hey guys, recently bought a stereo (had great reviews) off Amazon and have had a shitty experience with. Only worked for a month and never wanted to connect to Bluetooth after that.
Aftermarket Chinese product - go figure lol lesson learned. Got rid of now no stereo in truck currently.

Any recommendations on a good quality Bluetooth stereo that’s no more than $300? TIA!

Check out crutchfield.com and start shopping there. Even if you decide to buy somewhere else, they have the most options and an easy search function. I also had an issue with a cheap Boss head unit that had all the “features” but sounded like crap. Ended up going with a Bluetooth capable alpine head unit for about $120 that sounds great, but looks like it’s from 2002 even though it’s brand new haha.

My PLZ 902W (AM/FM/MP3/BlueTooth/Capacitive touch screen/Android Auto/CarPlay etc.) is still working GREAT 15 months after install. Total cost (including the bezel & wiring harness) was <$200. I liked it so much that I bought two of them!

I second Crutchfield. I got a Pioneer one almost 5 years ago and it works great. What I like about Crutchfield is their customer service and tech support during installation if you need it. Plus they sell ready made wiring harnesses to make the install even easier if you choose that route. To keep the costs down, avoid onboard navigation / GPS and DVD capabilities. You should be able to get by using Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
