Apparently, depends where you drive on Big Island for speed limit. But like I wrote, Highway 200, or Daniel K. Highway is short cut driving across Big Island, people always speeding. Get military base around half way across, sometimes get federal police stopping drivers for speeding, not only local cops.
One time late Friday afternoon, had two trucks speeding, passing others vehicles when not suppose to. Must been rushing to go home, on Highway 200.

We didn’t take highway 200, sounds like people who are taking the short cut are in a hurry. The older I get the more I’m chilling out and stopping to smell the roses (or in the case of Hawaii, the hibiscus).

Most people drive on Highway 200 to go work either the east, or west side of Big Island. Or some just cruz Kona, to shop Costco, or visit where ever they want to go. If Mauna Kea get plenty snow, and road to summit is open, people drive up with 4x4.:D
