Hi All, I have a 2014 4c SR5 - original battery was needing a boost to start. last time i gave it a boost the check engine light came on along with the 'track off' indicator.

I changed the battery and now it wont start - not even a click.
I have dash board light, radio and remote key fob all working.
Dash board shows check engine light and battery light on.

    Any advice?

    Note
    - yes i took negative off first/ positive on first
    - tried locking and unlocking with fob in case of anti theft
-tried turning the key 5 times as a reset.....(read from another post)
-battery was not put in backwards

Your battery was from 2014?? Wow!

For certain new battery is good and charged up?

Tried new battery with jump pak?

Have left disconnected for an extended time, say an hour or so?

Easy first step would be to see if the 7.5A STA Fuse is good.
We can move on from there.

Came to say the same thing. My first guess is a fuse (or two)

ETCS fuse likes to blow when boosted. (wouldnt cause a no crank though)

Also you need to ensure the new battery has charge, can you measure its voltage?

You were having problems starting the truck with the original battery and with a new battery the starting problem is worse. It probably isn’t the battery but I’d still start by checking the battery voltage. Then make sure the battery cables are tight. Next check the ground connection and the starter/solenoid connection. Make sure they are tight and are not corroded. If corroded clean them up and try again. Also check the fuses.

LOL yes original battery its pretty amazing.
New battery was tested and good.
Tried jumping the new battery no success.

I have not left it disconnected for a while. I can try that tomorrow along with checking fuses.
