Hey Folks, with my 2010 Tacoma, I didn't learn about the uni filter mod hack until after my secondary air injection pump failed. The foam has already disintegrated and been sucked into the system... I can't find much information/advice online about what to do now. Is this a reasonable job to do at home or do I need to take it in to the professionals?

Can I order an after market replacement pump, do the uni mod on that one and ignore the foam that may be in the system?

Thanks in advance for the help!

depends on the codes. One of my valves was stuck open, changed the whole unit and kept the good side as a Spare

Bypass is well worth it for a piece of mind. Every once in awhile I’ll get a P2440 and P2442 code, just clear it went ULTRAGAUGE and you’re good to go. Pretty sure it’s lifetime warranty as well. :)
