That's Fiebings "turquoise" with a SMALL cut of "red" to help pick up the purple stitching, diluted to 1:10 overall with denatured alcohol and applied in multiple passes - the exteriors are IIRC 5 passes, and the inside panels range from 4-7 to create a gradient

Try cutting your blue way down with denatured alcohol (if alcohol based, distilled water if water based) and going in layers. I don't let them dry fully between passes. The downside to this is that the leather will stiffen, but you can easily work it back to being supple with rolling/folding.

Took it to an upholstery shop nearby to get it stitched up; way better than anything I could've done

I have to get off my arse and make a cover for my Fender amp. I happen to have a Consew walking foot sewing machine that does a nice job on leather. I bought it with some leather scraps and was able to easily sew 3 plies.

Thanks - my purple is 5:1 denatured alcohol to dye - one pass, no oil on the leather.
