I have a 2012 Tacoma with California Emissions. I did not know it was as I bought in TN, I replaced the 2 upper cats that attach to the exhaust manifolds. Will the truck run ok with normals Cats on it? I am in county that doesn't test emissions.

Your fine, all 2nd gens as far as I know are 50 state emissions.

Most of the split Federal/CARB emissions stuff went away in the early 2000s, pretty much everything now is certified as 50 state emissions.

It's just that certain states require that you install CARB certified cats when replacing them, Tennessee is not one of those states as far as I'm aware.

If they are aftermarket cats don't be suprised if you get a CEL and P0420/430 though, many aftermarket cats are crap and don't last long even some from well known companies like Magnaflow.
