It's less Tacoma and more mod
I see what you mean, then maybe consider using ARP studs over bolts so you always have full thread engagement in the spindle end when tightening and you don't have to remove things from those threads much if using studs. With studs you can ensure you have the most unthreaded shank portion inside the BJ body as well.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Ya, Fabricated spindles are coming some day. I'm just trying to get these to the point where they are reliable till then.

Not looking to drop another 4 or 5 grand for the 3rd winter in a row.

Are you going to have to open up that counterbore for the bolt head? Is the dia of the flange head larger on the m12 than the M10? looks close in the pics

7 years ago I decided to buy their fully fabbed XLT kit due to putting together their 3.5 kit with fabbed spindles and the heimed steering and uniball conversion was like $300 or so off from the price of the XLT kit at the time. Idk if it’s still the same price difference though.

I still haven’t put my outer lockout hubs and axles together though. Will be interesting to see how it goes - I don’t have a good enough set of snap ring pliers as of now to get the snap ring off of the hub drive plate to swap out the old one for the new one they give.

Are you talking about switching out the RCV 30 spline adapter that goes in the hub?

I didn't even need snap ring pliers for that, just a pick. The snap ring goes on the end of the CV shaft after you have the hub body installed.

I guess I'll give afew updates. Haven't updated this thread in a minute.

Installed the new rack, with Total Chaos bushings and 333 Fab rack clamp.

Realized the Total Chaos LBJs don't work with Solo Spindles.

So I ordered the Solo LBJs and steering upgrade.

Pulled the power steering pump and swapped over the pulley to the new pump.

Yep, I just looked through the instructions a few weeks ago and saw it was just a pick - able ring. Made me glad I was just doing it wrong and didn’t need any new pliers lol.

Now, I just need to get motivated to put this thing back together

    :anonymous:

I still have some wiring gremlins to figure out along with the spindles and steering.
