Newbie here! I’ve got a 97 2.4l 2wd Tacoma, in automatic. It drives and runs fine, until last night. I go to start it up and get no crank, no lights on dash and just a single click sound. I thought it may be the battery, so I check with a voltage meter to verify that it’s got a charge and it’s reading 12.78v. So maybe my ignition switch is bad? So I turn key to on position, I get lights on the dash! Try to crank it, nothing, not even a click. So maybe it’s my ignition switch I think. I turn key to on position, and jump bank 3-5 on the starter relay spot. Nothing. My brain tells me it could be the starter, but I am also not getting brake lights or headlights when turned on with key in on pos or without key in cylinder at all. And when I turn the daytime running lights on, I get a buzzing noise coming from the fuse panel in the hood. I took the buzzing relay out, turn headlights completely on and it starts buzzing then but not when drl’s are on. Do you guys have any ideas, maybe you can prevent me from throwing random parts at it. I’ve got a voltage meter so let me know what I should test. TIA!
Edit: also I forgot to add, I cannot shift it out of park with the key in on pos to maybe try to neutral start. All of these problems started when I tried to start it last night.

Does the horn or the windshield wipers work?

The horn does, wipers do not work with key in and on.

It looks like it’s good, no splits in the copper inside of it which I can see by eye. The cover came off of it when I tried pulling the fuse out… oops.

I’d want to check for power to that fuse.
Since the top came off, just reach down and touch the copper to test.

That fuse feeds the brake lights and wipers. As well as the stater relay fuse.
