Very true. I’ve smelt mine several times in tight/precarious spots wheeling trying to finesse it to get power without wheel spin, when in lived in Seattle and would be stuck on hills in stop and go I’d just drop it into low range and tick up the hill to spare my leg and the clutch

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Feel like changing your clutch let one of your friends make a parts run of a few miles.

I am not sure it might have been the stock Clutch 125,000 miles I was having no problems . One 10 mile round trip it was done. His own 4 Runner was a manual.

Anyone know of a good shop or person on here that can replace the clutch on a 2004 Tacoma? I'm in the I.E. area.

Do you have a part number for the flywheel? Have a V6 2004 Tacoma Tacoma MT that my old man left us after passing away during the covid pandemic.
I'd like to take care of it mechanically and after 165K miles on it, don't think he ever changed the clutch. It's having issues with the clutch pedal and gets stuck sometimes not being able
to go into gears. Not trying to get you to diagnose the issue, just trying to purchase as many correct components to take to a mechanic. Rather replace as much as possible while the person has it on the lift.

For my 2000 V6, I used part number 13405-62030 for the flywheel. Should be the same for a 2004, but double-check first.
