Got my 2025 Federation sticker in the mail today, postmarked Nov 13th

 

Wow. Took a long time.

 

^Yeah OF4WD sent it out two days before the postal strike.

For those that registered this year the OF4WD annual meeting is today. They should have sent an email to you all. I will be attending virtually and @Trdtacosauce will be attending in person assuming the weather isn’t too bad. We will do our best to share some info about any important details.

 

2025 AGM notes
So big things that came up that I think are worth noting:
-gooderham trail had a bunch of maintenance from the snowmobile club that pretty much made it a road. Not sure the extent but Of4WD is usually involved and helps cover the cost of the trail maintenance. Because they were not contacted to be apart of the trail clearing they aren’t contributing any funds to that project. Some were upset since this kinda ruins are use of the trail but it’s a multi use trail system so we have to work together to get to use stuff.

-insurance—> as a reminder that all OF4WD have additional insurance through the organization ranging from 100k to 5million. We are looking more into this and if we have to do anything as a club to help our members.

-we got a shout out for trail cleanups. They will be emailing us to see if we want to continue with our Ardbeg cleanups and trail adoptions. lots of other initiatives in regards to trail maintenance and trail up keep as well

-doing trail reports helps the OF4WD know the condition of the trails including bridges and other items so they can be added to the list and be worked on. If they don’t know about it they can’t fix it. The current person in charge of this is trying to get to all the trails but as we can imagine it’s pretty difficult.
