I have a 2004 2.4l tacoma with aftermarket high flow cats. I am looking for a simulator to get my CEL off. URD no longer sells these.

Does anyone have a URD simulator for sale? Or as has anyone followed a DIY forum to create a simulator that works?

The resistor and capacitor mod works well for me.

Spacers also work well for that. I've seen a 3rz without a cat, and no check engine light.

@Old green toyota I’ve been messing with a spacer. It took away my P0420 code, but now I’m battling the P0136 due to the spacer being at the wrong depth I believe. Did you use an elbow spacer? Or a non fouler?

I saw a regular style spacer, not the elbow style one. Should be able to get a picture sometime tomorrow.

@Old green toyota sorry to bother would u be able to get a pic sometime over the weekend by any chance? I’m kinda stuck on how to get a shorter spacer in there with the 02 sensor being flanged not a direct screw in

@Old green toyota- Just watching the mail- There are flange type spacers for sale on Ebay that might work. I have the same issues. Flange type O2 mount is not threaded. The sensor itself is also not threaded. Problem is that the studs are not long enough to get the sensor backed out far enough if you use say a 3/8" thick spacer and a non- threaded (stock) O2 sensor. I might go the other direction - make the O2 simulator with the capacitor and resistor just to see if that will get rid of the P0420 error. Another possibility is to have a threaded bung welded into the mounting point and use the Dorman 40009 parts to mount a threaded O2 sensor but I have not found the part number for that type of sensor that will work for sure. Let me know if any of this is helping you or you already have the problem solved? Thanks!

Yeah I fooled with a spacer too, the elbow type. Worked for a while. Ended up replacing O2 sensors, good ones, fixed.
