The problem with 5160s and 3.5in of lift is that it puts your ride height near the bottom of their travel range. You may be better off with a longer shock. They will have more overall travel and allow you to keep your ride height closer to the middle of the range. 5125s and the longer version of 5100s may be options but it really depends on what springs you get and what their travel range is. It may be beneficial to swap out your bump stops as well when doing this. The Archive garage u-bolt flip kit has some good options.

So much this. I have always fought with getting OME/Dakar packs to stay quiet, ride comfortably, and maintain arch. If someone doesn't want to spend Deaver money and doesn't want/need the progressive ride profile of something like an RXT... The answer is Dobinsons. You'll pay a couple hundred more than the OME "equivalent", but you're getting a much better product. It's worth saving the pennies for an extra month to do it right.

    One quick question, Ryan.

U402 Expedition packs give you 2 inches of lift and Bilstein 5160 says it can accommodate up to 1.5 inches of rear lift. Considering I have no weight in the rear, is this still OK (i.e. leaf pack exceed the recommended lift on 5160). I see some mixed answers online.

This set up seems to be fine in my application (where I have constant load that brings the bed down), but in case I'm empty, I still would like the rear shocks to work.

    Thanks again for your help!

I could be wrong, but I heard 5160 can only accommodate up to 1.5 inches of lift. How much was your lift with Icon rxt leaf pack? Setting 2 is 2.25 inches unloaded and 1.75 inches with 200 lbs load right?

Yes, Right now I'm sitting at just under 2 inches all the way around. I wanted to keep The factory rake and upgrade the suspension without too much of a lift.
