I recently purchased a 2022 Tacoma Limited with The super white paint, I knew nothing of this Paint problem Until I visited several Tacoma forums.
I would really appreciate it if someone would kindly come fill me in on this problem, Does it affect All the Tacoma‘s with super white paint?

No. 2016 here bought new and zero issues. Hand wash, wax, repeat.

Don’t look for a problem that doesn’t exist, life is too short. Yeah, it could develop an issue, they’re definitely out there, but either way it’s out of your control outside of basic care like washing and waxing.

I have a 2006 and the paint is immaculate. It has received excellent care, though. Hand washing and waxing through 2015 and ceramic sprays since then. Nicks and scratches repaired immediately after finding. More importantly, I'm guessing, I got one of the ones that had the paint applied correctly ;)

FWIW: No issues with the paint on my 2014 with 134,000 on it. (yet) Truck lives outdoors year-round in the Northeast in 4 seasons of Wet/Dry Deep-Freeze, salty roads or hot humid temps in the 90's. Car Washes by Mother Nature: White hides a lot of dirt. It's not a universal problem: It seems to be a random roll of the dice if it appears. Occurs on some early-on, some it takes years. Some never peel. It has also been a problem on other Toyota models, including Lexus, and built in various assembly plants/locations. I use NuFinish on it when I want it to look a little nicer. It hasn't made the paint peel.

Ignore the unicorns here. Many of us have peeling white paint along the window frame edges and on top of the fenders in the engine compartment, and Toyota has a Free service campaign right now to fix it. See your collision center to get it inspected and fixed if you have it.

2020 model here. So far, no issues to report, but I’m beyond paranoid that all the paint is about to fall off. Any day now.

Oh yeah, my 2018 has already had drivers door repainted and now have peel along rear door sill and fender sills in engine compartment, so back to ToyotaFB_IMG_1705444598983.jpg in near future.

The four stages of a Super White Owner Code 040

    1. Denial
    2. Anger
    3. Depression
    4. Acceptance

I’ve reached the fourth stage and it feels wonderful. On top of that, no peeling yet. I no longer sleep in the garage waiting for the sound of paint flakes hitting the concrete.

    I’m free!!!

I thought my 2019 didn't have any problems will a few weeks ago and the paint cracked and chipped out of nowhere. Truck has only been hand washed and waxed regularly. The problem isn't care, it's bad prep work and paint. I thought I wouldn't get it either.

My 2015 has been nothing but babied and out of nowhere- I see the flaking paint about 1.5 years ago. It still continues and talking to, emailing Toyota- well- they provide no solution but there is some sort of notice out to dealers about repainting but oen has to talk to their local dealer, be nice to the body shop manager, and it almost seems like get some sort of approval from Toyota and just maybe they'll help but I've yet to re-open this can of worms.
My question is more/less- what is the best spray paint to use to fix this on my own. A single stage like old cars or a base coat/clear coat combo. I figure- what do I have to loose. Might as well do something and so lightly sand the effeccts areas, get some paint on them so it does not look like a big pile of birdcrap ya know?

I agree with OnHartung'sRoad's comment about the dealer program. If I dig farther and have any success, I'll post my results.
