Since we’re on the topic of AT4W’s…

I just got to try mine out in the Texas road slush after our snow. Meh, hard to tell with the limited driving. *Probably* not as good as my Duratracs on my old FJ. But *Probably* better than my worn Toyo AT3’s. Hard to tell how they’d compare to a new set of Toyo AT3’s.

When the snowfall was fresh and packed, they did okay onroad. But I know when to use the skinny pedal and when to use the big wheel in my hands to maintain control.

    Final score: B or B+

Threw on some ST Maxxs over the holidays, 255/85/RR16. I've put about 400 miles on them so far and love them.

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.

Thanks, I've tested it a few times to see, sometimes it feels like there might be a slight pull but it's hardly noticeable, other times it seems to track straight.

Any rubbing? Getting ready to purchase a lift, wheels, and tires this week. I don’t care about cutting some plastic but want to avoid a CMC. Thanks

What wheels are everyone running? I'm picking up 255/85/R16 Falken AT4Ws. I will need a 16x8 with -12 offset to fit with my JBA UCAs.

No rubbing unless I hit a good sized bump at full turn. But I also have 1.25” spacers installed on stock wheels which puts me at roughly -6mm offset. I think without the spacers the tire would clear the fender well easily.

I recently traded my -25 16x8 fn wheels with 285s for trd faux beadlocks which are 16x7.5. I think I want to go to a 255/85R16. What's the options on the Toyo mt, Falken mt, or Yokohama mt? I've already read about short life of the bfgs, and balancing issues of cooper's. The maxxis and master crafts are on back order.

I ran 255/85r16 yoko g003s for 26k km. Had crazy cupping issues with a perfect alignment and rotating every 5k km, I would steer clear of them. My 285/75r16 at4ws have more miles on the same alignment and are wearing perfectly. No experience with toyos or falkens.

I personally wouldn't run mts again, they look cool but that's about it for me.

I had Mickey Thompson Baja Legends and they were more of an Rt tire. It worked well for my wheeling trips. I kind of feel like the at4w isn't as aggressive as I'm looking for. I wish company's would put out an an rt like maybe the toyo rt trails.

Seems like these days most company's do. Heard good things about the wildpeak rt. I'm just honest with myself and know I don't need anything more then an at tire on my daily.

Sorry I meant an rt in the 255 85 16. They have some available in the 255 80 17. I guess the 16s are just dying out like 15s did
