My Ridge Grapplers are within 10K of being replaced. I’ll probably look to replace them this fall. I love the look. They have been pretty good for me. I feel like they could be better in snow but never left me stuck. I’m locked in once I go to 4wd. I’m questioning whether to get a different rugged terrain tire (I don’t want a basic AT with weak looking sidewalls after having the ridge grappler look). Anyone have real life experience with these tires? Any recommendations on what’s out there now? I do live in the mid-Atlantic so snow and rain is common. People mention the 3 peaks due to snow but none of the rugged terrains seem to have this. Also, is that lack of carrying to submit them for testing? I can’t imagine a ridge grappler wouldn’t earn a 3 peak rating compared to other tires I’ve seen with them.

I’ve looked at so many and can’t seem to hammer one out. Right now I’m leaning to the Ridge Grapplers because I know how they are and like the look along with general performance.

I love my Toyo Open Country ATIII. They do great in the snowy North of MN.

They aren’t bad but not what I’m looking for. I think the closest thing Toyo has would be the Open Country R/T.

Camburg trail series 2” LT. ADS 2.5 coilover. All Pro expedition leaf springs w/Bilstein shocks.. TRD catback exhaust. Bushwacker fender flares. TRD Supercharger. 3 degree cam gear. LRA 33 gallon fuel tank. CBI front bumper. Fab Four rear bumper. All Pro sliders. Anytime fr/rr camera. 35” Falken RT01. Raptor lined exterior.
I’m almost 2 years deep with Wildpeak RTs. All I can offer up is no disappointment from what little SoCal can do to challenge them.
Heads up for Toyo. They just came out with RT Pro. Most serious RT I’ve seen yet. Definitely caught my attention

Yeah that’s an interesting tire for sure. I started this thread on them:
